The Competitive Intelligence amp; Market Analyst intern will join an award-winning Marketing department to support and gain experience in researching, analyzing, and understanding the complex and dynamic Customer Experience Management market and the vendors who operate in the space. This role will also help to communicate and action research and analysis findings to enable Alida to better position and differentiate as SaaS-based CXM leader.
This role will work in the Marketing department with responsibilities tied to our Strategy and Product Marketing functions. An aptitude for collaboration and cross-functional communication will be required as this role will interface with various parts of the organization.Competitive Intelligence:
- Undertake specific CI research projects, build areas of expertise and share knowledge with team members.
- Perform competitive analysis on specific competitors including market presence, product offerings and capabilities, sales strategies and relevant dynamics.
- Develop competitive intelligence assets including battlecards, multi-vendor comparisons, slide decks and other enablement materials with the appropriate level of details.
- Identify and communicate portfolio gaps and market observations and share with Product Management on a regular basis.
- Assist Sales in ad hoc competitive situations by turning around quick analysis and making recommendations on positioning strategies and by highlighting Alida’s differentiators in the particular sales opportunity.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct regular analysis of market developments, including competitor mergers amp; acquisitions, key customer wins and corporate announcements
- Support development of market spend analysis
- Provide analysis in support of partnership initiatives
- Conduct analysis of our customer base and pipeline to identify opportunities
- Analyze vertical market opportunities to help inform go to market strategy
- Support strategic planning process
Desired Skills and Experiences:
- Post-secondary educational degree
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and fast paced environment
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong research skills or aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong aptitude for technology and ability/desire to learn new software
- Proficient with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office (PPT, Word, Excel) including skills for the formatting and creative visual display of information
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
