The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Director, Relationship Management to join the CU Wealth Distribution team.

Reporting to the VP, Western Canada, the Director, Relationship Management is accountable for achieving the sales and relationship management objectives of Credit Union Wealth for a set of assigned Credit Unions. The incumbent will provide assistance to Credit Unions through business planning, educational seminars, workshops, joint field work, and practice management assistance. This role nurtures Credit Union client relationships, the development of annual territory sales plans, while working to achieve financial objectives across Aviso’s wealth continuum including Assets Under Administration and Assets Under Management (proprietary) goals in asset management, and business goals in insurance and online/digital.

What your day looks like:

  • Achieve sales and relationship management objectives for all Credit Unions using CU services within the region and in partnership with the VP and sales teams
  • Liaise with the CU Wealth managers to provide business coaching and support around practice management and our practice standards
  • Coordinate with Aviso Head Office departments and Aviso suppliers, and maintain an active issue resolution process that adheres to service level agreement timelines
  • Provide wealth managers with practice management related support on systems and reports available through CU Wealth, providing field feedback and deliver training
  • Identify trends and opportunities and develop account strategies for Aviso’s credit union partners through collaboration with other Aviso and Credit Union employees, helping the assigned region achieve its overall targets
  • Assert a positive influence over CU sales by demonstrating expertise, well thought-out product and practice management solutions, and timely and constructive solutions that meet our partner’s needs
  • Provide regional support for CU Wealth sales and educational programs and events, including advisor sales recognition programs
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with managers and executives of the credit unions

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ solid investment industry sales experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Completion of CSC or IFIC an asset
  • CFP designation an asset.
  • Ability to positively influence others by using awareness of others’ needs and concerns
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, at both individual and group level
  • Ability to assist in building and supporting execution of the CU partner’s business planning through practice management
  • Ability to project a highly professional image in a variety of settings/presentations
  • Ability to link personal and team goals and objectives to the broader organization
  • Ability to work independently to achieve required objectives, within Company and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to utilize and leverage various forms of related so
