The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Manager, Institutional Sales amp; Service to join our NEI team.

Reporting to the VP, Institutional amp; Strategic Relations the Manager, Institutional Sales amp; Service is responsible for developing and managing existing Institutional relationships and opportunities. The Manager, Institutional Sales amp; Service will develop opportunities to introduce NEI solutions to Institutional opportunities with a specific focus on Foundations, Endowments, Charitable organization and HNW family offices.

What your day looks like:

  • Ongoing Service of existing Institutional relationships
  • Ability to interact effectively with both the external customers and the internal Aviso/NEI organization
  • Maintain relationships with the head offices/analysts of key group and segregated distribution channels
  • Maintain relationships with the Institutional Consultants both directly and in conjunction with key Institutional Retirement channels
  • Actively discover, prospect and manage the needs of the opportunities in order to contribute NEI solutions to their success on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain a high level of investment market awareness
  • Participate in industry and dealer forums and conferences to keep apprised of all industry trends, competitive insights, products and services
  • Partner with sales leadership to assist in focused Institutional National strategy
  • Promotion of NEI Solutions at industry events
  • Understanding of Responsible Investment foundations and ESG considerations linked to asset management solutions
  • Work to have NEI Solutions added to Institutional DC Retirement platforms amp; solutions
  • Ensures a thorough understanding of activities of competitors to identify threats and opportunities
  • Manage and service day to day, monthly and quarterly activities needed for existing and new clients
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Finance amp; Operations to deliver an exceptional experience for NEI clients

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or related field
  • CFA or MBA an asset
  • 5 years’ work experience in a sales environment, preferably in Mutual Funds and strong knowledge of Responsible Investment amp; ESG landscape
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products and knowledge of personal financial management, asset management and portfolio management
  • Developed planning skills sufficient to help develop sales plans for the assigned market
  • Influencing and negotiating techniques and the ability to gain commitment and support for desired objectives
  • Strong networking skills
  • Strong leadership skills, self-starter with effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong ability to present information to different audiences
  • Able to incorporate sales strategies and a proven track record of executing strategies to grow market share
  • Knowledge of the principles and processes of selling, track record of closing sa
