The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an Onboarding Officer to join our Service Centre team for a 12 month contract.

Reporting to the Manager, Transitions amp; Advisor Onboarding the Onboarding Officer is responsible for being the lead subject matter expert in both IIROC AND MFDA applications. The individual will oversee all aspects of the onboarding process for converting Advisors.

What your day looks like:

  • Partner with Advisors and communicate effectively and ask questions to ensure a smooth onboarding
  • Provide guidance, support and education on procedures, forms and practices within the Univeris/ Dataphile system to ensure the Advisor is successful in the onboarding process
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert and answer questions from the advisors and the executive leadership and the Credit Unions
  • Partner internally with other areas of operations and customer service to ensure that onboarding is done in a timely manner and that concerns are resolved quickly
  • Act as a liaison between the Advisor/Wealth manager and the Registration team for registration documentation
  • Update Onboarding Dashboard on weekly basis to monitor Advisor progress
  • Provide pre-licensing support, post-licensing support, Portfolio Manager onboarding, oversee Credit Union Mergers, offboarding and specialized partner support

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • University Degree or College Diploma preferred
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is preferred
  • 2-3 years of financial industry experience in an Operations or Service Center role
  • Experience using Dataphile is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience with process improvement and documentation
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
