Your Challenge:

As a Senior Project Manager you will be a vital part of the team responsible for the planning and delivery of major construction projects in the National Capital Area, including the coordination and oversight of all Regional Functional Programming activities.

Your day to day:

  • Leading facilitation meetings to elicit client project requirements;
  • Developing project scope, requirement documents, statement of work, participating in client discussions, analysis of functional and operational requirements of the client;
  • Producing key project management deliverables: project management plans, risk management plans, change management procedures etc;
  • Planning and coordinating the activities of project personnel, contractors or other support providers, including the preparation of preliminary time schedules for project design and implementation;
  • Overseeing design team concepts, drawings and submissions, ensuring design plans are aligned with requirements;
  • Maintaining the design change management process that records changes to the scope of work;
  • Reviewing monthly progress claims from consultants for compliance with consultant agreements and recommending payments;
  • Identifying and resolving strategic risk issues with clients; and
  • Completing project close-out documents.

Requirements

The Experience you Bring:

  • A university degree or diploma in interior design or architecture (NCIDQ or OAA designations an asset);
  • Five to ten years’ experience in Design Management or Functional Programming;
  • Knowledge of all functional programs and the ability to advise on consistencies, gaps, opportunities, and conflicts;
  • Ability to develop and recommend plans of action, as well as implementing these plans;
  • Strong Project Management Experience/Skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; and
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintatin Government of Canada security clearance.
