Web Server Backend Developer - Fleet Management

Role Summary

You will be working in a fast-growing IOT domain on fleet telematics and connected mobility solutions operating in dozens of countries worldwide. Your responsibilities include the integration and development of the Telematics backend server spanning fleets, assets and mobility management.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Project Manager, Developers and Quality Assurance Engineers to understand and implement the requirement defined by Product Roadmap
• Participate in all phases of the iterative development cycles, including requirement grooming, planning, daily standups, demos and retrospectives
• Develop key components of the backend server with innovative design ideas.
• Automate our development process as we strive for Continuous Delivery
• Provide timely support for technology and business decisions
• Remain up-to-date in emerging trends in software development, advocating for their adoption when appropriate
• Clearly articulate ideas both verbally and written to achieve positive outcomes
• Listen to others, encouraging and accepting input from all team members
• Appreciate and acknowledge individual and team contributions

Requirements

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Over 5 years of experience on web server backend development experience
• Strong expertise using C#, .NET CORE ecosystem, i.e. Web API, Entity Framework, IoC, Dependency Injection
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and cloud-based CI/CD environment
• Understand asynchronous messaging patterns using Kafka
• Proficient knowledge on database, such as Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience on developing scalable Web APIs (REST) and Windows Services
• Good understanding of Client/Server and multi-tier application architecture and development
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming with a solid grasp of algorithms and data structures
• Excel at troubleshooting within a distributed environment
• Experience in Agile/DevOps methodologies and practice
• Have experience using JIRA and GIT, GITLab tools
• Advocate of quality and automated testing
• Focus on driving a positive customer experience

• Effective communication skills and a strong problem solver

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

• Working experience on Telematics or fleets/assets/mobility management software is a huge plus

• Experience on C#/.NET is a plus
• Experience on Microservices is a plus
• Experience on Windows and Web application is a plus
• Experience delivering cloud-based solutions in AWS is a plus
• Experience on Google maps and other Google libraries and tools is a plus
