Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst (6 month contract)

Reporting to the QA Lead, the Intermediate Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst performs tests to identify bugs in the software application. The main job duties include performing manual and automated testing, uncovering bugs in the software, evaluating the user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX), documenting data, and reporting your findings to the software developers and programmers responsible for the product. Your responsibilities include communicating with your project team, your supervisor, the development team, and other stakeholders as identified.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test suites using existing and new frameworks
• Assist technical support to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis
• Liaise and work closely with the Field Safe development team
• Analyze results and deliver test summaries and recommendations to the product team
• Contribute to the improvement of how we do tests at Field Safe
• Work with the developers to perform code reviews and assist with debugging
• Initiate and participate in efforts to improve group productivity and test effectiveness
• Ability to enjoy the challenges of your work and see them as opportunities to learn

Requirements

• 3-5 years automated test creation and execution (with emphasis on functional, integration, system, and regression testing) in a SaaS environment
• Experience applying test methodologies, creating test plans, executing amp; automating test cases
• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment is an asset
• Demonstrated analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting expertise
• Must be thorough, precise and have a strong eye for detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a results-oriented focus
• Have a passion for breaking things and a desire to learn from each QA task
• Feel satisfaction in doing one’s work well and willing to go the extra mile
• Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
