CareGuide is one of Canada’s fastest-growing startups. We make it easier for people to find care for their loved ones through a portfolio of specialized marketplaces, including Nanny Lane.
Nanny Lane is the best of both worlds: the perks of a mature company, and the autonomy amp; agility of an early-stage startup. The Nanny Lane team is a cross-functional, tight-knit group dedicated to making childcare more accessible through nanny share. We are passionate collaborators who value working together and take pride in the experiences we create.
Our CareGuide team is a friendly bunch who are continually looking to improve and build each other up while creating something big. We succeed and fail together - we are seriously committed to your growth and making CareGuide the best place to grow your career.
Nanny Lane is looking for a Product Designer who is excited to be a part of building the future of child care. You will be working with our General Manager and Principal Engineer to design highly impactful and innovative solutions to the problems that our families and nannies experience. We provide value first to our customers because having a product that enables users to be successful is what makes the Nanny Lane successful. We are a small team - you will own every stage of our design process at a time when our principles of excellent design are just emerging.
Work-Life Balance. We have high expectations and admire strong work ethic; however, what is more, important is a balance for your personal life. So, we strive to work smarter, not longer. You choose what hours and timing suits your lifestyle (within reason), and we will do our best to accommodate
Autonomy. We always do the best we can with any ambitious problems we're solving. Feedback is encouraged and welcomed to help everyone improve their crafts.
Exponential career trajectory. Careers not jobs is a central philosophy at CareGuide, and on Nanny Lane, we are all tackling new challenges every day, enabling us to grow and develop continuously.
Collaboration. Being on a small team, team members work closely with all functions. It's essential to have excellent communication skills - listen first, share knowledge second.

As an employee, you’ll be enrolled in our benefits program, have a budget for educational purposes, and all the hardware you'd need to be at your best. We also offer a fulsome maternal/paternal leave policy for new parents.
If this sounds like the place for you, send us a link to your portfolio in your intro. Let us know what inspires you and why you think you’d be a fit for CareGuide. If you work on a side project, volunteer your time or practice another craft besides designing beautiful, user-centered experiences, that means something to us, and we would love to hear about it!
