As ATB Wealth’s next Private Banking Associate you will be an integral part of the ATB Wealth Private Banking team, the primary focus of the Private Banking Associate is to provide exceptional service experience and fulfillment support with the objective of exceeding customer expectations. You understand the value of managing the details that keep a client portfolio operating smoothly. In this role, you’ll provide support to our Private Banking Advisors in a range of critical activities. You’ll experience what it takes to deliver on the ‘All In’ - everything from opening personal and commercial accounts, credit files and performing various transactions on behalf of clients to ensuring Advisors have the information they need to create a remarkable client experience. You’ll also get a deeper look into Private Banking by maintaining the data that ensures organization and client information is up to date.
Your primary focus is to provide high quality sales and fulfillment support with the objective of providing an exceptional client experience. The role is accountable for identifying and attending to the deposit and cash management administrative needs of the client through strong knowledge of deposit accounts, investments, credit, electronic banking services, account opening as well as for assisting the Private Banking Advisors in portfolio management, credit monitoring activities and managing credit transactions. You. are also accountable for supporting the retention and growth of existing relationships, achieved through proactive recommendation of appropriate ATB solutions and products.

Private Banking Associate Accountabilities:
Client Experience
- Acts as a first point of contact for clients, meeting high quality service standards to maximize client satisfaction and deliver on a remarkable client experience, supporting maximizing relationship retention and growth.
- Builds personalized relationships with clients and directly contributes to the growth of the portfolio through suggesting to clients of ATB Wealth Private Banking products and services that may meet benefit them
- Efficiently utilizes support of Client Experience Specialists to process diverse client transactions (ie) wire payments, foreign currency purchases, reversing fees, bank drafts, bill payments, ordering personalized cheques, issuing Visa debit cards, etc.
- Efficiently utilizes support of Client Experience Specialists to action client service inquiries such as follow up on cheque orders, duplicate statement requests, trace requests and investigation of fees or account issues, etc, ensuring timely resolution and following up as appropriate
- Resolve client inquiries or concerns either directly or in concert with the Private Banking advisor or Client Experience Specialist. Escalate complex, critical and/or high risk issues to the Senior Manager, Service amp; Operations in a timely manner.
- Keep your commitments with customers, and set clear priorities and realistic timeframes that are consistent with work requirements
- Work collaboratively with team members amp; clients and are proactive in building relationships with team members amp; clients
- Maintains detailed knowledge in the features and benefits of ATB products and solutions that are specific to ATB Wealth Private Banking
- Educate and provide clients with access to self service options, set them up on digital platforms whenever possible, and serve them through the channel of their choice
Operational Support amp; Change Management
- Provide sales support to Private Banking advisors by accurately preparing account documentation for opening of all personal and business accounts and retail credit facilities, including corporate searches and property title searches; performing account opening, account maintenance; and client onboarding and offboarding processes
- Provide support on complex files, liaising with ATB Wealth partners, such as the credit specialist team for complex credit advice and solutions; supporting these team members by respecting and reinforcing role clarity to deliver on client needs
