Divine Flooring is seeking a talented, Inside Sales amp; Design representative to join our Calgary team. This position will be based out of our Calgary Showroom and is a Part-Time position with the capacity to turn into a Full-Time role.

Primary Job Purpose

The Inside Sales Rep will assist with the day to day operations within the Showroom. The focus of this role will be to serve customers in the retail division of the Company. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for cultivating clients, selling products and managing the process and organization of retail sales. The Inside Sales Rep will also conduct interior selections for clients. In addition, they will be responsible for the general maintenance and appearance of the showroom including management of samples, integration of new product lines, ordering supplies and general office management. They will also oversee the scheduling of the showroom to ensure proper coverage and ensure that clients have an exceptional experience at the showroom.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure the showroom is clean, minimalistic and represents Divine’s brand
  • Management of the showroom including sample management/maintenance, signage, Vignettes, ordering supplies and overall showroom maintenance
  • Scheduling showroom coverage on a monthly basis and making changes when necessary. Ensure that showroom customers are greeted in 60 seconds or less.
  • Knowledge of the Divine product lines and pricing with the ability to demonstrate technical understanding of the products
  • Data input into Divine Tracker with all relevant information on estimates and sales
  • Assist clients in the showroom by providing product knowledge and pricing. Conduct selections for clients for both retail and designated accounts
  • Communicate with the Company’s relevant departments and installers onsite; troubleshoot problems when required. Coordinate all missing items with dispatch when required
  • Contact for contractors/clients as needed
  • Collect necessary deposits and final payments from clients as per Company policy
  • Maintain status of job materials and job work orders in Divine Tracker, ensure accuracy of job status at month end and maintain WIP reports
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and submit sales activity reports as requested or required by Management
  • Submit commission reports on a monthly basis to payroll
  • Cover shifts in the showroom as scheduled and assist with daily showroom maintenance
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new sales opportunities
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times
  • Assist Outside Sales on specific noted duties/items


Skills Required Technical

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and project specifications
  • Familiar with basic computer systems, file structures and operations
  • Must maintain a high level of product knowledge
  • AutoCAD considered an asset
  • Sketch Up considered an asset

Education and Experience Required

  • Interior Design or Architectural Technologies Diploma
