SERVICES

Consultant will provide up to and including the following services:

• Add structural elements to BONE Structure provided Autodesk Revit files (columns, beams, braces, grade beams amp; piles for structural detailing);
• Perform detailed structural analysis calculations with Autodesk ROBOT and update structural plans in order to develop designs using proprietary structural systems (according to recognized codes and standards across Canada and/or the USA);
• Prepare structural analysis reports Including (input calculations amp; structural analysis LRFD/LSD according to local site requirements);
• Provide foundation engineer the anchorage design amp; associated loads and coordinate with EOR;
• Prepare submittal package for permitting;
• Answer city plan-check comments and produce resubmittal package as required;
• Participate in project meetings for design considerations, customer requirements and general coordination;
• Preliminary red lines and structural review of conceptual design;
• Drafting for new foundation details when required;
• Construction administration, managing RFIs, and site inspections;
• Coordination with 3D modelling team for shop drawings production;
• Collaborate with architects, 3D modelling team and project managers to ensure successful project completion.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis, from an accredited college or university;
• 2 to 5 years of structural engineering experience;
• Experience designing residential structures using the North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members CSA S136 / AISI S100;
• Strong skills using hand calculations and computer-assisted design software required to perform engineering tasks required (i.e. Excel, MathCad, etc.);
• Solid proficiency with Autodesk ROBOT and REVIT;
• Foundation and Seismic design experience considered an asset;
• Professional engineering licence with the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ) and/or other provinces/states considered an asset;
