Job Description

Vention is a Montreal startup whose online platform helps the most innovative manufacturers automate their production floor in just a few days. Our online-first manufacturing automation platform lets clients design, automate, order, and deploy complex automated equipment directly from their web browsers. Headquartered in Montreal, we serve over 1,000 factories on three continents.

Founded in 2016, Vention has received over $60 million in investor funding and served clients including Tesla, Facebook, and BMW.

Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, you will lead the division of Vention’s Marketplace. As a key leader of the Partner Network, you will significantly influence the strategy and drive the implementation of key initiatives to grow our Marketplace revenue. You are someone who has a passion for creating and fostering relationships to help expand your network. You like to work in fast-paced environments where you can encourage the implementation of processes and structures to help you be successful in your role.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage sales enablement with partners and Vention sales team (i.e., public Webinar with partners, internal training to the sales team, etc)
  • Identify and onboard new industrial automation partners on the Vention marketplace; that will directly impact the development of Vention’s hardware and application roadmaps to grow Marketplace Revenue
  • Drive engagement of partners in the marketplace with proper training, communication, incentives, etc
  • Maintain Vention Marketplace agreements and related terms and conditions, in line with our product evolution and business expansion
  • Build processes and tools to drive day-to-day operations or the marketplace, from partner order processing to end of month remittance
  • Act as a business owner of Vention's marketplace infrastructure, influencing product roadmap, validating functionalities, and collecting user feedback

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Science,
  • MBA an asset
  • Any university training in marketing, E-Commerce and its equivalents will be considered an asset

What you’ll be bringing to our team:

  • 7-10 years of experience in marketplace development
  • Previous experience in managing a team
  • Any experience related to online product sales will be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong strategy and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the Google Mail / Docs environment (Asset)
