Job Description
Broadmead Care (Broadmead) is a vibrant non-profit health care provider located in Victoria, BC with a reputation for high quality innovation and leading practices in long term care. Broadmead has been under the leadership of the current President amp; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the past 17 years, who will be retiring at the end of June. He has been instrumental in growing the organization from a single site to where it is today. With five distinct homes, Broadmead provides a range of services including long term care and adult day programs for Veterans and seniors, and long term care for adults with disabilities. Ground will soon be broken on a new campus of care that will include long term care, assisted living, and affordable housing units. The annual budget is $44M and there are approximately 700 staff.
The President amp; CEO is responsible for the leadership and management of Broadmead, ensuring the programs and services provided are compliant with applicable regulations, and fully supporting the goals and objectives of Broadmead. Working with the Board and executive leadership team, the President amp; CEO will establish a dynamic vision for Broadmead’s future and build strategic partnerships and relationships with other non-profits, private sector organizations, and all levels of government.
Requirements
Reporting to a 14-member board of directors, Broadmead is seeking a highly strategic and visionary President amp; CEO with an entrepreneurial mindset and a successful track record of moving an organization to its next level of growth and success. The successful candidate will have a degree in Healthcare Administration and at least ten years’ senior healthcare leadership experience. With a passion for seniors and Veteran, the successful candidate will be a fierce advocate who will champion Broadmead’s care philosophy and ensure that Broadmead continues to be viewed as a leader and a role model in the delivery of long term care. Candidates will also excel at building highly effective teams and strong and trusting relationships with all stakeholders.
