Job Description

Taiga is seeking for a Vehicle Integration Engineer to join our team on a full time basis in Montreal. The successful candidate will take on the design and integration of vehicle auxiliary systems, in a rapidly scaling off-road electric vehicle technology and manufacturing company. Responsibilities

  • Working with vehicle system owners to define requirements and integrate them into CAD
  • Ensuring integrated systems can be easily assembled and serviced
  • Ownership of packaging, cost and mass of electrical wiring routing
    • Design of wiring harness cable management systems alongside the electrical integration engineer
  • Ownership of packaging, performance, cost and mass of thermal system components
    • Working with the Thermal System Engineer to define sizing amp; configuration of coolant conduits
    • CAD Plumbing, thermal hardware components amp; attachments in Autodesk Inventor
    • To execute prototype hose routings and transfer the designs to the production manufacturer

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in an automotive related industry
  • Mechanical Engineering degree (BAC or Higher)
  • CAD proficiency
  • Familiarity with automotive fluid transfer systems
  • Excellent communication and time management skills essential for team-based working
  • Direct experience in the preparation of technical drawings and engineering specifications
  • Professional experience in multidisciplinary vehicle systems (integration of electronics into mechanical systems)

Preferred

    • Advanced knowledge of plastic processing methods for high-volume manufacturing (injection moulding, blow moulding, etc)
    • Familiarity with cable and wire harness assembly methods and manufacturing processes
    • Experience in Autodesk Inventor
