1VALET is growing and we're looking to add a Senior Designer to our Marketing team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, creative thinker, with strong visual design skills. You will help grow the 1VALET brand and provide design expertise on a broad range of customer-facing projects. You are equal parts tactical and strategic and have a passion for great design and the ability to achieve it. You are a natural problem-solver and thrive in environments that value collaboration and learning.
Responsibilities:- Design marketing collateral for print and digital media, including brochures, physical products (swag), online ads, digital marketing campaigns, trade show graphics, app store assets, our website, pitch decks, proposals and other customer-facing initiatives
- Deliver work that elevates and strengthens our brand appeal and perception with customers, partners, end-users, and employees
- Present your work to stakeholders for review and feedback
- Manage the design production pipeline and work with external consultants, vendors and agencies, such as print shops, video production companies and design consultants, to ensure flawless execution of design deliverables
- Design, build, manage, maintain majority of aspects of a Wordpress website environment
- Light coding as it pertains to email newsletters and website maintenance
- Emotional intelligence
- 5+ years of related experience as a Designer in a client-facing role / agency setting
- Proven experience in both print and digital design
- Solid understanding of graphic design conventions and norms
- Exemplary communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge ideas respectfully
- Ability to manage time and understand how to organize and share ideas
- Complete mastery of Wordpress CMS and themes - ability to build a Wordpress website from scratch
- Able to navigate and manage WP Engine
- Able to work on UI and UX with a working knowledge of, but not limited to HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP
- Experience working in an early phase start-up
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Understanding of interaction design principles
- Bilingual French/English
