We’re Lynden Hills Dentistry, a well-established dental practice providing a full range of dental services for the whole family: diagnostic, preventative, restorative, aesthetic, and maintenance. Our philosophy is to always put our patient first.

Due to growth in our practice, our team is looking for our next Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) Technician.

Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) Technician

Your primary goal is to gather, disassemble, clean, disinfect, assemble, package, sterilize, store and distribute dental instruments, supplies, equipment, and sundries for use at Lynden Hills Dentistry. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the protocols and systems to ensure that the practice upholds the guidelines set out by the governing bodies that regulate and control health and safety in the dental office. This includes, but is not limited to: The Occupational Health and Safety Act, RCDSO, Ministry of Radiation, Ministry of Labour, and PHAC.

You’ll also:

  • Update and maintain Records: Infection Control Log Books, X-ray Equipment and the proper disposal of Sharps and Bio-Hazardous materials.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement based on observations of process and outcome indicators.
  • Backup Equipment Maintenance inspection, reporting, and tracking.
  • Restock of the steri center with all supplies, instruments and sundries.
  • Assist with comprehensive oral examinations including personal interviews, accurate charting, chart audits, and equipment maintenance
  • Provide infection control support and back up, including sterilization and testing
  • Assist with lab management
  • Help with restocking and inventory
  • Coordinate and document ongoing compliance with Infection Control, Reprocessing, and Radiation procedures
  • Train new employees on LHD policies pertaining to IPAC and Reprocessing

This is an active and dynamic role, well-suited to someone who loves interacting with patients, providing the highest quality care, and helping the clinic run flawlessly.

Qualifications

  • MDRAO registration (annual updates) OR ODAA registration (annual updates)
  • Health and Safety training certifications (annual updates)
  • Current Immunization records
  • IPAC Certificates (annual updates)
  • CPR Certificate copy (annual updates)

This is a full-time, permanent position, with a competitive total compensation plan
