About Freddie

Freddie's mission is an ambitious one: Halving the spread of new HIV infections. HIV is on the rise and over 50% of new HIV cases are in the LGBTQ2S+ community. We use telehealth to simplify access to PrEP, the HIV prevention pill that reduces your risk of acquiring HIV by 99%.

We launched in July 2020 after raising a seed round and are exploding with demand. We’re now one of (if not the) largest HIV prevention providers in Canada. And we’re just getting started.

Our culture is central to our success. We’re driven to sustain our phenomenal growth, and this means we’re always working closely and collaboratively to turn our ideas into reality. It’s this sense of pace, innovating and improving pretty much everything we do, which makes Freddie so exciting and unique.

You will be Freddie’s first-ever People Operations hire, so you will be building this function from scratch.

Reporting directly to the COO, you will lead the employee experience by maximizing potential, leading talent acquisition, and setting the cultural tone that enables teams to do heroic things.

We’re looking for passionate talent filled with empathy and agility. The right candidate for the job is energized by Freddie's mission, hyper-organized, fanatical about seeing things through to completion, service-oriented, and humble.

This role is ideally based in Calgary or Toronto, although we are open to candidates who are remote.
