Job Description

Full time, Montreal

Reporting to the Director, Corporate amp; Foundation Partnerships, the Manager, Major Giving position is responsible for the management of a philanthropy-oriented portfolio of individuals, corporations, foundations, and Quebec government; proactively identifying, cultivating, and securing major gifts.

Your impact at CNIB
  • Work closely with the Executive Director of the CNIB Quebec Foundation to identify and implement philanthropic strategies that will ensure long-term sustainable funding sources for the province in alignment with the organization’s objectives and goals
  • Maintain a portfolio of potential and active donors, with a focus on retention and growth in alignment with organizational priorities
  • Monitor progress of activities related to funding sources in order to evaluate and create impact reports and manage financial reporting obligations to funders.

Requirements

  • An exceptional negotiator with strong interpersonal skills
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator
We want to hear from you if you have:
  • BA or equivalent in business, marketing, or fundraising management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a specific fundraising position required, preferably major giving
  • Bilingual (French and English) written and verbal
  • Experience in a central moves management program and prospect clearance process
  • Comfort and proficiency with CRM, financials, and budgets
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset
