Job Description

The AWC Water Solutions Ltd. (AWC) team has designed, fabricated, and delivered over 500 integrated water and wastewater plants across North America and internationally. Whether it is a simple design and fabrication of a treatment train, or a complete, complex design-build project, AWC specializes in all aspects of delivering innovative water and wastewater treatment plants on-time and on-budget.

We offer clients advanced in-house consultation, project management, engineering amp; design, 3D modelling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.

We are looking for an Senior Mechanical Assembler who brings professional leadership and dedication to the work we do and the communities we serve.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation of equipment, piping, and instruments according to Mechanical drawings
  • Perform layout of equipment and mechanical pipe fabrication according to mechanical drawings. Cut, thread, solder, and gluing.
  • Able to Assemble / Fabricate according to Process and Instrumentation drawings.
  • Assist in equipment and pipe layout design
  • Safe Use/Operation of forklifts, cranes, power tools and other equipment related to job requirements
  • Perform daily tools and equipment inspections
  • Pack and crate necessary parts and equipment for shipping while performing quality control and detailed check list
  • Review bill of materials and drawings to ensure all parts are correct and in hand to perform task.
  • Perform QA/QC activities and documentation as required
  • Mentoring and coaching of team members
  • Follow and enforce established safety and environmental practices
  • Maintain work area clean, safe, and organized.
  • Work as part of a team to achieve mutual goals.
  • Site work and associated travel as required
  • Maintain daily records as required
  • Any other assigned duties as required

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Safety First mind-set
  • Strong understanding of drawings and design specifications
  • Creative problem solver
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Trades tickets would be an asset.
