Our Purpose
We are here to create a world served by exceptional professionals. Our products (Casper, Snapshot, and Duet) help higher education institutions to look beyond book smarts, seeing a clearer, more holistic view of applicants. It’s used by 360+ academic partners in Canada, the US, Australia (and growing!) with 150,000+ applicants taking the test each year, and covers 90% of all US medical school applicants. We also host the Admissions Summit, an annual 2-day conference, and power the Alo Grant, an annual $100,000 research fund.
Your Role
We're looking for someone to join our team that has a genuine interest in creating a world served by exceptional professionals. At Altus, you'll be the driving force behind helping us scale our business and ensuring that we can achieve 3x the revenue with 2x the people.
We are effectively a three-sided platform, with applicants taking assessments, programs reviewing applicants and, in the middle, Altus providing the assessments and scoring the applicants.
To drive our remarkable growth, we have focused on the assessments for applicants and the tools our programs need to successfully evaluate an applicant. Between these two steps are the content creation and assessment scoring required to facilitate the entire process. With remarkable growth comes the challenge that the tools required by our teams to keep the system running - that create the assessments and score the applicants - have not scaled with us.
Your goal is to help Altus scale by ensuring that our operations teams have the products they need to help us continue on our journey of growth.
Your responsibilities include identifying the largest challenges to Altus as we scale, prioritizing and sequencing them in a platform roadmap, and spearheading the roll-out and change management required as we streamline the business - helping us re-wire the airplane in flight.
We’re looking for someone with significant experience in optimizing processes, who will not only help define the work to be done but also the processes to execute it.
To be successful, you will need to establish highly effective working relationships with your Product peers and Technology leadership, including the emerging Architecture function.
Impact
When successful, you will reduce the complexity of the operations team and the third-party raters they support, increase the overall velocity of our teams, and set us up for rapid scaling.
The capabilities and services that you build will not only be used internally but also externally by our community of raters (scorers), ensuring our assessments can be used in a growing number of high-stakes people decisions.
