About The Role:
Working at our new central commissary, you’ll manage our ice cream and desserts bakery/production team. You’ll be in charge of making sure everything is made, made well and made safely. You’ll be hiring, training and managing our production team and you’ll be involved in production yourself.
You’ll organize production of ice creams, doughs, batters, sauces, brownies and cakes. You’ll order inventory, conduct QA, and keep everyone on schedule and on the ball.
Responsibilities:
- Interview, hire, train, coach, and manage production and delivery staff (team of 5-15)
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage production of ice creams and baked goods
- Place Purchase Orders for ingredients, receive goods, track lots and maintain inventory
- Manage food safety programs, inspections and paperwork
- Prep deliveries, ensure products are sent and received on time, each time
- Participate in production yourself
- Liaison with Ramp;D department and provide feedback on recipes and approaches
- Maintain equipment in good condition, coordinate with maintenance team as needed
Requirements
About You
You have at least 2 years experience working in food production (eg. a bakery). You know what it means to consistently make a good product day in day out. You’ve been responsible for food safety and/or quality assurance.
You have managed others before, ensuring a positive workplace culture. You know what it means to lead and inspire. You excel at communicating clearly and concisely. You believe in making others better.
You have high expectations and believe if it’s not done right, then it shouldn’t be done at all. You know every single product that leaves the facility is a reflection of not just you and your team, but the entire brand.
You love ice cream.

This is a salaried with benefits (health amp; dental), full time position.
This is in our brand new Vaughan central commissary facility located on Strada Drive near Highway 7 amp; Pine Valley (close to Hwy 400 amp; Hwy 407).
