Job Description
CadMakers is very excited to announce that it is looking for its very first Innovation Lead to help manage and lead innovation on our Digital Construction and Digital Fabrication teams! The Innovation Lead will have the opportunity to work with the Head of Innovation and other cross-functional leaders to help identify, manage, prioritize, and implement new innovative ideas, processes and services at CadMakers. To do this, the Innovation Lead will need to utilize their broad portfolio of skills and knowledge gained while working in the AEC industry and at CadMakers.
Innovation has and will always be a contributing and driving force in CadMakers' ongoing leadership in the AEC industry, and while it will forever continue to be a core value that every teammate exemplifies, the Innovation Lead will be instrumental in ensuring all innovation initiatives are executed with the most efficient and streamlined approach!
Requirements
The Innovation Lead will be primarily responsible for:
- Identifying opportunities for increased value to our customers and/or increased efficiency in executing projects
- Exploring the feasibility of potential new services to offer to our customers
- Driving new initiatives from idea, to proof of concept, to established practice
- Testing potential new software to be used to execute our projects
- Leading the development and refinement of internal automation tools
- Working with the Knowledge Program to develop training material for new tools or processes
- Working with the Quality Program on automation tool QC
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies in the AEC industry
- Other responsibilities as discussed with Head of Innovation to meet team objectives and for continuous development
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- Advanced CATIA 3D modeling skills across the majority our typical projects
- Fabrication
- MEPF
- Architecture/Structure
- Experience with automation in CATIA (EKL, Engineering Templates, UDF’s)
- Minimum 6 months experience leading projects or supervising others
- Ability to execute on independent projects with minimal guidance
- Comfortable working with new software without training or notebooks
- Skilled at communicating complex concepts in simple, easy-to-understand ways
