Senior Mobile Business Analyst

Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Mobile Business Analyst who will be the vital link between our information technology capacity and our clients by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks of our clients mobile application features. The right candidate will have experience working in a client facing environment and an excellent understanding of the mobile landscape. The Senior Business Analyst is will contribute at all stages of mobile product development.
- Expert ability defining business problems, target audience for mobile applications and building user stories.
- Define configuration specifications and mobile business analysis requirements
- Own and develop relationship with mobile partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration into mobile applications.
- Help design, document and maintain mobile application processes
- Communicate key insights and findings to product team
- Looks for familiar patterns in trending iOS and Android mobile applications
- Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve mobile application, discover issues and deliver better value to the client
- Groom and prioritize backlog
- Incorporate feature requests into mobile product roadmap
- Develop user stories and define user acceptance criteria
- Write user acceptance tests
- Keep track of mobile industry trends
- Analyze preferences and requests of mobile end users
- Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints
- Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
- Collect data on mobile app users and mobile application competitors and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
- Remain fully informed on mobile market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices
- Research and suggest new mobile products and applications.
- Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
- Gather specific mobile requirements and suggest solutions
- Stay up-to-date with new mobile technology trends
- Derive actionable results from mobile application tear downs
Requirements
- Previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance with a focus in mobile applications
- Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing for mobile applciations.
- Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
- Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
- Work experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management
- Familiarity with agile is a plus
- Team spirit and good communication abilities
- Good organizational skills
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
- Ability to perform in a team environment
This job is open to all candidates in Canada, but it is a requirement to be located onsite at the Vancouver office. Relocation support is not provided.
