Ramsden Industries has been a leader in the aluminum casting industry since 1946, and we are seeking a new General Labourer to join our team. Along with your strong learning ability and attention to detail, curiosity and quality focus will help you succeed in this process-driven role.
We will look to you to operate equipment and activities in a safe manner, focus on producing high quality product that meets internal and customer requirements, and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement activities.
What you’ll be doing
- Operating metal-cleaning equipment to remove excess metal and unwanted materials from castings
- Immersing metal products in cleaning solutions
- Meeting production and quality standards on a consistent basis
- Providing instruction to other operators, on machinery and equipment and part specific cleaning operations
- Working in compliance with established safety procedures
- Using or wearing equipment, protective devices or clothing
- Reporting any safety concerns to employer or supervisor
- Advising other operators of the existence of any potential or actual danger to the health and safety of operators
- Documenting information for process control
- Complying with the organization’s environmental, health amp; safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards.
- Performing other duties as required
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail to produce products to standards and examine products for defects
- Ability to follow precise instructions and fully document inspection and test results
- Commitment to a very high quality of work
- Physically capable of lifting up to 20 kgs and working under hot, odorous, and noisy conditions
- CNC experience is an asset

This is a full-time, permanent position in our London location. Expected hours are Monday - Friday, afternoon shift. Onboarding training conducted on day shift. We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package. We also provide all necessary safety equipment.
