The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Director, Operations to join our Operations team.

Reporting to the VP, Dealer Compliance, the Director, Operations is responsible for oversight of the Transfers team that handles account transfers for all Aviso Wealth lines of business.

What your day looks like:

  • Responsible for the Transfers teams for all Aviso’s lines of business, ensuring teams are completing account transfers and associated activities in accordance with internal procedures and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Direct supervision and ongoing performance management of the Transfers team Managers who are in turn responsible for management of the sub-teams for each line of business
  • Ongoing monitoring and management of internal the team’s resources to ensure appropriate staffing and coverage. This includes development amp; implementation of performance amp; capacity metrics for the Transfers team
  • Work in collaboration with the Director, Quality Assurance to develop an appropriate quality assurance framework for the Transfers area
  • Ongoing enhancements to Transfers-related process, focusing on opportunities to streamline, automate, and mitigate the risk of human error
  • Assist with the planning and execution of corporate and department level projects or initiatives, as assigned by the VP, Dealer Compliance

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce, Business Management or a related field is an asset
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive work experience in the Mutual Fund or Brokerage industry
  • Strong people leadership and talent management skills, with a minimum of 5 years people management experience
  • Keen business acumen, business judgement and problem-solving skills in order to serve as a trusted business partner
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven decision-making, prioritizing, and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of management and staff
  • Fluent communications in English is required and bilingual communication skills in French is an asset
