System Test Specialist - Custom Solutions

Job Description
The Custom Solutions team is looking for a proficient hands-on System Test Specialist who is passionate about testing a variety of custom applications developed for specific clients’ needs.
The System Test Specialist works in an agile and multidisciplinary team that consists of software developers, project coordinators and other system test specialists. They are involved in the analysis, detailed planning, and execution of test projects. They bring their knowledge to improve our test and process infrastructure, and to deliver the best software quality to our customers.
What your day will look like:- Take part in the analysis of requirements provided by customers, collaborate with the development and project coordination teams to define the global testing strategy
- Assess and provide estimates for test efforts
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans for each project
- Run test plans according to the most appropriate methodology, raise defects to the development team and follow up on the resolution of those defects
- Take part in the continuous improvement of the quality assurance processes, tools, and practices
- College or University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in both English and French
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across teams
- Great attention to details, organization, and managing priorities
- Knowledge of client-server architecture and Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of virtualized environments, cloud computing platforms, containers, and orchestration
- Proficiency with an iterative software development methodology (Agile, Kanban, Scrum)
- Knowledge of a scripting and/or object-oriented programming language
- Familiarity with automated testing tools
