The Lease Auditor (Commercial) will focus on CAM/Operating Expense, Realty Tax reviews, conducting lease audits and other project support. This is a party-time opportunity with the possibility to became a full-time role. You will work remote.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Preferred 5+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate as a Property Accountant/Auditor completing CAM/Operating Expense reviews, resolving disputes, and conducting lease audits in commercial real estate environment
- Audit client annual reconciliations for common area maintenance, real estate taxes, insurance, etc. to identify overcharges and billing errors. Obtain detailed documentation to validate all expenses charged; provide clear and precise audit results
- Responsible for collection of overcharges resulting from said audit findings. Negotiate with Landlords/Property Managers for timely resolution of disputes
- Advise Client of unfavorable lease language and recommend provision improvements when leases are up for renewal
- Strong ability to interpret complex, commercial lease documents in a variety of formats.
- Ability to complete projects under pressure in a timely and accurate manner
- Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and extremely organized
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel

- CPA designation will be considered an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and relationship building skills
- Strong aptitude for effective cross-functional collaboration
- Experience working in commercial real estate required
