This position will work as a full-time employee of TV2 Consulting and be assigned to our clients for consulting work.
You will participate and contribute to the development of IPTV tools and automation solutions. On a typical day, you will function in a team consisting of highly skilled specialists and subject matter experts responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance, of the infrastructure and applications.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for high level and detailed design, development, testing, implementation, and support of software solutions (internal tools) created to simplify and standardized the operations and management of TV solutions. Leveraging Agile development practices and working in a DevOps model, you will be empowered to create automation, develop deployment strategies and support tools, and apply critical-thinking to drive us towards the Best TV experience possible.

Duties:
- Participate in requirements identification, definition, prioritization, documentation, and analysis.
- Transform requirements into a solution by performing full lifecycle management including design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation support.
- Adjust solution implementation based on the team’s evolution, changes, and new integrations.
- Seek end-user feedback from the team to lead improvements, enhancements, and evolve the solution to continuously improve efficiencies within network/service operations and management.
- Document and keep updated documentation pertaining to solution technical details.
Requirements
- University degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- 3-5 years or more in a Developer-like role where you acquired working experience leveraging these competencies.
- Good knowledge of Object-Oriented principles and Functional programming, Design Patterns and Software Architecture.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices: unit tests, test-driven development (TDD), code review, continuous integration.
- Experience working using Agile principals and framework.
- Communicate effectively with people at different organizational levels (both written and oral).
- Strong interpersonal skills and team focus.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Is able to self-organize work or both themselves and their team.
Preferred Competencies and Skills:
- Very good knowledge with, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Linux/UNIX, Mac OS X, Docker, .NET, Microsoft Windows.
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C#/etc
- Good knowledge of IP networking and fundamentals.
- Working knowledge on DNS and Web Services technologies
- Experience with executing SQL Queries and working in some kind of database environment.
- Previous experience with Unix/Linux Systems including the deployment and administration of Apache, MySQL, and BIND
- Previous experience with Cloud-based technologies such as OpenStack, and tools that help automate this space such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet, or others.
