Divine Flooring is seeking an experienced industry professional individual as a Business Development Representative to join our team in Edmonton. This position will be based out of the Edmonton Showroom.
Primary Job Purpose
As a Business Development Representative, the focus of this role will be to acquire new business in the New Home Construction industry by pursuing Single Family amp; Multi-Family leads. Responsibilities include account management, developing leads, producing quotes and possibly job site management.
Specific Responsibilities
- Knowledge of the Divine product line and pricing with the ability to demonstrate technical understanding of the products
- Follow sales from presentation to completion
- Tracking product development through its life cycle amp; staying current on new product information and specifications
- Develop and maintain relationships with Divine’s customers
- Build a network of referrals to create new sales opportunities
- Able to competitively benchmark product
- Prepare and submit sales activity reports as requested or required by Management
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times
- Prospect new business clients and follow up on all leads
- Identify new market opportunities by maintaining knowledge of consumer, competitor and market trends.
- Represent the company at Industry events, seminars, workshops and seek to develop strong relationships with customers and potential customers.
- Attend job site meetings as required
- Resolve any customer concerns, issues or complaints that have escalated, in a courteous, professional manner.
Requirements
Skills Required Technical
- Microsoft Office all main applications Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Must maintain a high level of product knowledge
- Familiar with basic computer systems, file structures and operations.

- Superior customer service
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm

Education and Experience Required
- 5 years experience in the Home Building industry
- Experience in the flooring industry or knowledge of flooring is a strong asset
- Sales experience with carpet, tile and hardwood flooring
- Post-secondary education is preferred
- Valid Driver’s license
- Willing to travel within Edmonton amp; Surrounding areas
