Job Summary
The Learning amp; Development Manager is a key member of our Learning amp; Development Centre of Excellence (COE). Accountable for the design, implementation and maintenance of Lamp;D programs. Drives and executes our strategy that supports our overall strategic objectives and employee development. Works closely with HR and other departments to develop, implement and follow through on our learning strategy.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR leaders, HR COE’s and the business to develop short- and long-term HR programs that support the achievement of organizational goals and strategy
  • Design and deliver Lamp;D programs using a variety of tools and methods including eLearning, webinar and classroom style to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Lead the launch of new training programs, from beginning to end, including needs analysis, instructional design, learning delivery, measuring effectiveness, project management and conducting research on current trends and standard methodologies related to their programs
  • Monitor and measure training and adjust programs based on changing business needs to drive continuous improvement
  • Identifies and maintains relationships with third-party vendors to support Lamp;D programs; audits and assesses effectiveness of vendor developed programs
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with key partners, both internal customers and external vendors
  • Develop and lead effective project plans and drive effective budget and vendor management
  • Stay current on Lamp;D trends and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements
  • Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of a learning culture within the organization

Requirements

  • A University degree or College diploma in Adult Learning, Human Resources or equivalent Lamp;D experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and delivery of training programs
  • Certified in behavioural based assessments (i.e. DISC) preferred
  • Proven experience in leadership development, group facilitation and project management. Experience with authoring tools (i.e. Articulate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience with Workday an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience launching new Lamp;D programs and managing large projects
  • Experience in a global, matrix environment is an asset
