Job Description

The Accounting Assistant will provide support to our Accounts Receivable Coordinator by assisting in a variety of critical tasks, including collections, invoicing, and more. We are looking for someone who is organized, detailed oriented, and interested in learning more about the Accounting function.

What will you be doing?

  • You will assist with the wholesale invoicing process including reconciling invoices against shipment records, sending invoices and statements to customers, following up on questions, etc.
  • You will respond to customer inquiries received by email and phone
  • You will support the A/R Coordinator in ensuring outstanding receivables remain within Company targets by assisting with the collection process including, but not limited to, contacting customers with overdue balances
  • You will post all bank deposit and cheques into our ERP system, Netsuite
  • You will issue credit memos approved by Operations
  • You will work with the Operations team to contact customers with prepaid orders, collect the prepayments, and release Pack amp; Hold orders.
  • You will complete various ad hoc tasks as requested

Requirements

  • 1+ years of work experience in Accounting
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner, both verbal and written
  • Ability to navigate within a fast-paced and multiple-task environment and operate with a sense of urgency to meet timelines
  • Highly organized, excellent time management skills, detail oriented, and proactive in problem solving
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
  • Experience with an ERP software is considered an asset
