Job Summary
The Adult Program Coordinator is responsible for researching, developing, planning, organizing directing, controlling, executing and evaluating the adult programs and events held at or on behalf of the Bell / Richcraft Sensplex.
Main Responsibilities
- The Coordinator is responsible for developing, marketing, implementing, managing, and successfully operating the following programs for the for the Bell / Richcraft Sensplex:
- Men’s recreational hockey leagues (fall / winter and summer)
- Women’s recreational hockey leagues (fall/winter and summer)
- Other team programs as required (youth/adult tournaments for example)
- In addition, the Coordinator will identify and pursue opportunities other than those listed above for the Bell / Richcraft Sensplex
- Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of all programs are professionally executed
- Prepare, customize and distribute promotional packages to be sent to potential customers
- Responsible for ensuring that complaints are handled as directed by policy
- Maintaining data base of members/participants and communicating with them on a regular basis
- Scheduling for all league games, statistic preparation and organizing of Referees and other officials
- Determine and implement any disciplinary actions required.
- Organize and execute awards and banquets where required.
Periodic
- Responsible for reviewing polices and procedures for the Bell / Richcraft Sensplex and ensuring that they align with the strategic objectives of the Bell / Richcraft Sensplex
Training:
Responsible for completing on-line training modules as required and for ensuring that part-time team members do the same, including, but not limited to:
- Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability
- Back amp; Lifting Safety Training
- Ontario Supervisor Health amp; Safety Awareness
- Ontario Worker Health amp; Safety Awareness
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Violence and Harassment in the Workplace
May also be required to attend on-site training sessions as scheduled (eg. customer service).
Requirements
- Knowledge of event coordination and event planning
- Knowledge of, and experience with, youth and adult recreational programming
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Must be available to work weekends, nights and holidays
- Proficient spreadsheet, word processing, and database management skills
- College or university graduate
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Bilingualism an asset
- Team player
