As the Group Controller at GlobalVision, you will be overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting at the group level. They will possess strong analytical, communication and organization skills. They will take ownership in ensuring that the accounting and financial processes of the group are up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. They will report to the Director of Finance and will manage both the immediate and long-term financial and operational activities of the organization.

- Responsible for the accounting operations of the holding companies and ensure the maintenance of accurate accounting records.
- Manage the operations within the holding companies (i.e. investments, real estate).
- Participate in the bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and maintenance of the general ledger. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close.
- Review the monthly financial statements and prepare monthly financial reports for presentation to the Director of Finance as needed which may include detailed variance analysis of current monthly results compared to budgets and prior month figures.
- Responsible for the company’s government remittances and tax filings (i.e. monthly GST/QST and payroll DAS).
- Coordinate the company’s Notice to Readers and annual corporate tax filings.
- Assist with projects relating to the company’s CDAE and SRED government filings.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as requested by the Director of Finance.
- Diploma in Accounting (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting) and CPA designation.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or finance, and public accounting experience is highly valued.
- Experience with reporting under ASPE standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
- Previous experience working for a B2B SaaS company
- Experience with ERP systems and CRM systems (i.e. NetSuite).
- Good capacity for analysis, synthesis and problem-solving.
- Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
- Extremely analytical, detail-oriented and resourceful.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage workload and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
