The Special Events Organizer will work closely with CNIB Foundation staff to support the expansion of CNIB's community-based programming, as well as its fundraising efforts throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. This position will work closely with the Manager of Foundation Programs to support the efforts of our team in providing both in-person and virtual programming to clients provincewide. This position will also work closely with the Coordinator of Community Giving to support the expansion of the Foundations fundraising events.
Requirements
- support the planning and execution of the Wheels for Wishes Third Party Fundraiser.
- Support the planning and execution of a fall fundraising event.
- Research potential funding prospects and soliciting in kind donations from local businesses and organizations.
- Support the planning and execution of CNIB's annual Family Camp.
- Interact with clients and volunteers with regards to upcoming programming.
- Suppose the planning and execution of summer recreational programs and projects.
- Provide support for any other Community Giving events or third-party fundraisers that may arise.
- General Administration duties that may arise during placement.
Work Environment
- Based from home with a CNIB provided laptop; work from the CNIB St. John's office may be an option later in the summer.
- Reports to the Manager, Foundation Programs, but works closely with the Coordinator, Community Giving.
- Flexible start and end times; flexible contract start and end dates to accommodate unpaid time off.
