CAD Technician - Snowmobile Platform

Taiga is a rapidly scaling off-road electric vehicle technology and manufacturing company seeking a CAD technician for snowmobile platforms engineering. The successful candidate will play an integral role in vehicle platform development by developing CAD models and drawings, and interfacing with engineering to ensure part and assembly specifications are met.

What you will do:

• Meet with engineers and designers to review specifications and drawings
• Input design specifications into design software
• Work with members of the engineering team to create solid and surface CAD models
• Drafting engineering drawings according to specifications

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience as a CAD technician in one of the following industries: Powersports, Automotive, Aerospace
• Experience in both solid and surface modeling
• Experience working with engineers to translate design specifications into part designs and draft technical drawings
• Experience taking industrial design concepts from sketch to feature-complete model
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Self-starter, ability to take up new initiatives, detail-oriented, quick learner with strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced cross functional environment
• Quality and customer-focused

Good-To-Have Skills

• Experience with manufacturing tolerances including GDamp;T
• Experience with modeling for various manufacturing methods including casting, forging, composite molding, injection molding, stamping, and hydroforming
