Vehicle Dynamics Engineer - Snowmobile Platform

Taiga is a rapidly scaling off-road electric vehicle technology and manufacturing company seeking a vehicle dynamics engineer for snowmobile platforms engineering. The successful candidate will play an integral role in vehicle platform development by developing vehicle dynamics models to optimize the ride amp; handling characteristics of Taiga's snowmobile products

What you will do:

• Develop vehicle dynamics models to evaluate ride amp; handling characteristics
• Develop traction models for snowmobile skis and tracks
• Work with the test amp; validation team to validate and close-the-loop on simulation models
• Work with other members of the engineering team to optimize ride amp; handling based on subjective and objective data
• Perform validation tests to characterize snowmobile inertial properties

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience as a dynamics engineer in one of the following industries - Powersports, Automotive, Motorsports, Aerospace
• Thorough knowledge of vehicle dynamics and dynamic systems analysis
• Advanced understanding of kinematics, especially as applied to suspension systems
• Experience developing MBD models
• Advanced knowledge of coding languages including C++ and Python
• Excellent data analysis and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced cross functional environment
• Quality and customer-focused

Good-To-Have Skills

• Experience in data analysis using MoTeC i2
• Understanding of signal processing theory and data filtering
