Job Description

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Canadian Centre for Men and Families is a mental health and social service charitable agency that works to fill critical gaps in men’s services to reduce male suicide, empower fathers undergoing separation and divorce, and help boys and men heal from trauma. We support, empower and advocate for men before, during and after a crisis, in a safe, open, inclusive and supportive environment.

Since 2014, the agency has opened and operated Centres in Toronto, Ottawa, London and Calgary. The agency is in the process of setting up Toronto’s first Family Shelter for Men and Children who have experienced family violence. This facility is also the Toronto location for a variety of additional publicly available support programs.

The Family Shelter Client and Program Manager will be responsible for client intake, case management and facility operations at the new Family Shelter for Men and Children, as well as the management of programs and services operated out of the space. It is a challenging role that demands patience, diplomacy and hard work, as well as attention to detail and an ability to multitask. The individual will work as a team leader to create and maintain a safe, respectful, welcoming and supportive space for men and families.

The Family Shelter Client and Program Manager will report to the agency’s National Executive Director.
