The Role
PDFTron is looking for a Visual Designer to join our Design team, to work with a multidisciplinary group of designers and engineers on exciting website and innovative product design projects that have an impact on thousands of our clients and millions of users every day. This role will have the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on shaping our brands and how we present ourselves and our products.
The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean, artful design, and possess superior design skills. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of graphic design and its application to the web. Experience executing marketing/design briefs from conception to production is expected.

Responsibilities
- Work on the conception and design of new web pages, sections, pieces, and modules in alignment with evolving requirements.
- Create visual interfaces and/or artifacts for websites, make enhancements to existing ones, with a focus on great user experiences.
- Create appealing product UI designs, as per user requirements and feedback.
- Create high-powered and visually rich marketing campaigns and collateral.
- Recommend changes and redesigns for existing properties to improve look, usability, and performance where opportunities present themselves.
- Work to ensure the Design team’s processes and strategies are successful and make a meaningful impact on company goals, customer attraction and market reputation.
- Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of product, marketing, business and other stakeholders to create the best results and positive user experiences for the target audiences.
- Contribute to developing and/or working with design systems.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2+ years of design experience (preferably in house for a software company) including 2+ years of experience with website design
- Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, and able to balance great design with meeting deadlines.
- A desire to design beautiful, intuitive communications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Graphic Design or a similar area of study is preferred).
- A thorough understanding of designing for digital platforms and expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with and manage all stakeholders relevant to the projects.
- Highly organized and able to self-motivate and work effectively in an autonomous, entrepreneurial environment.
