Job Description
Espresso Capital is seeking a hard-working, energetic individual to join our growing team in the role of Accountant within our Finance team in Toronto. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records by performing duties such as bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, receipt matching and intercompany reconciliations.
- End-to-end accounts payable including posting invoices, vendor setup, processing electronic payments (EFT, ACH, wire).
- Maintain continuity schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets and leases.
- Support the production of monthly financial statements, budgets and other financial reports by performing such duties as providing related documentation, preparing various accounting summaries and reports and compiling statistics.
- Support the annual financial statement audit process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience, with a demonstrated understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with knack for numbers.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Payroll experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is an asset.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
