Who We Are
Nylas was founded in 2013 by a couple of MIT graduates who were passionate about making complex systems simpler. Co-founder and CTO Christine Spang saw that email use was growing at a steady rate, yet there wasn’t a simple way to unify this data-rich tool in a way that developers could easily integrate with this data. She and a small team (at the time) set out to fix this. Fast-forward to 2020, Nylas has successfully raised funding from Spark Capital, 8VC, ScaleUP, Round13, Citi Ventures, Slack Fund, Data Collective, Fuel Capital, and SV Angel. Nylas customers span from large enterprises such as Hyundai, Fox News Corp, Hubspot and Move.com to high-growth start-ups like Dialpad, Pipedrive, Lexicata, and Sparkpost.

The RoleWe’re looking for a Developer Advocate to help Nylas expand our product marketing organization. You’ll be responsible for creating digital content, demos, code samples, and other technical assets to support strategic developer marketing initiatives. This individual will also play a critical role in translating technical concepts into accessible developer education content and create content for marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is fluent with at least one programming language and can communicate their technical understanding with others in an intuitive manner.
This individual is:-comfortable writing code for full-stack JavaScript apps including front end UI/UX and backend services-knowledgeable about best practices for integrating third-party REST APIs, and-capable of explaining complex solutions in clear terms that are accessible to diverse audiences.What You'll Do

• Prepare technical content for blog posts, webinars, workshops, and videos.
• Build technical demos that demonstrate the capabilities of the Nylas Platform.
• Be the primary proxy user for the developer audience to help Nylas improve our developer experience.
• Be the marketing team’s technical expert as we define initiatives to attract developers to the Nylas product ecosystem.
• Respond to developers on public communication channels like GitHub and Stack Overflow to facilitate the growth of a healthy, supportive developer community.
• Be the primary proxy representative for our developer audience to share insights about their needs and challenges with the Nylas
