Job Description
As a Water/Wastewater Engineer (P.Eng.) amp; PM (Project Manager) at M2 Engineering you will be responsible for various aspects of assessment and design associated with water and wastewater infrastructure including but not limited to water treatment processes, wastewater treatment processes, pumping systems, chemical feed systems, and piping systems. This position requires you to assist in the preparation of studies, pre-designs, and detailed designs as well as assist with construction activities. In this position, you will work side by side our engineering team to troubleshoot problems and help find efficient and effective solutions for our clients. As a project manager you will work with management and out clients to deliver successful projects.
This position requires experience in the design of water and wastewater infrastructure and experience working with a multidiscipline project team. Wastewater infrastructure design tasks for this position require a thorough understanding of wastewater lift stations, hydraulics, and treatment. Water infrastructure design tasks of this position require a thorough understanding of water quality, treatment standards, hydraulics, chemical systems, and treatment processes.
Project management tasks require an understanding of client relationship management, progress reporting, invoicing, resource planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and more.
As a Professional Engineer you will use you use your superior interpersonal skills, highly developed organizational, and time management skills to successfully execute projects. You will be driven to continually improve upon the customer experience and be enthusiastic and positive about learning new ways to better the business.
In this position, you will be responsible, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and a good communicator. As a Professional Engineer you are required to provide excellent customer service and troubleshooting solutions in a busy environment and possess the roles and responsibilities outlined.

Requirements
The Water/Wastewater Engineer (P.Eng.) amp; PM position requires candidates with the following qualifications:
- A valid Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering. Degrees in Civil, Civil-Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering are preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in consulting engineering, specifically in water/wastewater engineering area of practice. Candidates with less experience may be considered subject to specific experience and skillsets
- Must be in good standing with APEGA as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
