The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an Online Brokerage amp; Digital Wealth Summer Student to join our team.
Reporting to the VP Product/Platform Strategy, the Online Brokerage amp; Digital Wealth Summer Student is responsible for delivering key projects which will directly improve team agility and performance. The Summer Student will bring a desire to learn about the business and willingness to make an impact.

What your day looks like:
- Develop a SharePoint site for the Digital Wealth Team and migrate our Central Repository from OneDrive to SharePoint
- Explore opportunities to improve and implement changes related to the new initiative intake process, including the creation of automated workflows
- Improve processes associated with scorecard reporting, integrating new scorecard metrics from other groups (operations, IT) and facilitating automated workflows.
- Improve Roadmap automation
- Support the creation and continuous improvement of standard tools/templates to be used by the business associated with key deliverables
- Creating Executive presentations associated with Monthly Results Review, Digital Wealth Executive Committee, with opportunity to lead these discussions.
- Support on strategic initiatives on our roadmap and other special projects
Learning Opportunities:
This role provides a hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of direct investing. An opportunity to share ideas to help improve efficiency and deliver tangible results. Ownership of key initiatives throughout the term.
Requirements
Your experience and skills:
- Currently enrolled to attend post secondary education in the fall of 2021 (e.g. college or university)
- A quick learner who is able to pick-up business concepts and ideas
- Motivated to learn and gain experience
- Inquisitive with a desire to see things improve. Willing to share their thoughts associated with continuously improving our processes
- Able to work effectively independently and as a team member
- A self-starter with a strong desire to get things done
- Fluent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- You will be working remotely and must have internet access during business hours
- We are open to students from all across Canada, however for this role you must be able to work business hours in the Eastern time zone (EDT)
