We are currently looking to add a driven and ambitious Talent Acquisition Specialist to our British Columbia team. Reporting to the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for leading all recruitment initiatives and fulfilling hiring needs for all hourly employees across our Operations teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager and various Operations hiring managers to determine recruitment needs and strategize best methods of recruitment
- Assume all stages of the full cycle recruitment process for all hourly Operations employees across our Inventory, Production, Quality Control, Shipping amp; Receiving teams
- Create, edit and strategically post job postings across various platforms
- Complete interviews in collaboration with appropriate colleagues and support hiring decisions
- Perform head hunting searches as needed
- Conduct pre-employment verification as required
- Ensure the continuous improvement of our talent acquisition practices, tools, and relationships
- Host and participate in recruitment and career events to generate and uphold a pipeline of unskilled labour candidates
- Any other related recruitment and HR tasks as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
The Ideal Candidate
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour/Dynamics, Labour Relations, or another closely related area
- 1-3 years experience in Recruitment for skilled and unskilled labour, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment
- High level of adaptability and the ability to work and excel in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
- Sense of resourcefulness and autonomy, self-motivated, eager and ambitious personality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to tailor communication style to various audiences
- Customer service oriented mentality and strong interpersonal skills
- Team spirit and cooperation
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Excellent discretion, judgement, and professionalism
- A passion for Talent Acquisition, Organizational Culture, cooking and food
