We have a fulltime opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Hospitality team.

As a Business Development Manager, you will build on your past direct and international sales experience to help expand PressReader’s presence in hotels across English speaking countries, particularly in Canada and US markets. You will be responsible for generating new leads and sales. As a strong collaborator and team player, you will enjoy working closely with other team members and you will also benefit from the expertise of the marketing team and talented designers to support your sales efforts. With your pleasant demeanor and inquisitive personality, you will develop and maintain a deep understanding of PressReader’s technology, sales processes, and important trends that apply to the hospitality industry and your market. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious sales person who believes in collaboration and who wants to shape PressReader’s hospitality growth strategy, focusing on new customer acquisition.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement market penetration strategies
  • Cultivate relationships to build strong connections with industry leaders and influencers
  • Secure new business, actively prospect and explore new partnerships to achieve sales targets
  • Become a PressReader product expert on all the things that we offer, and stay uptodate with new product launches
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Be part of a collaborative and inspiring team that will support you on your road to success

You are a great fit if you have:

  • 1 to 3 years of B2B sales experience
  • Proven ability to prospect and develop new business
  • Excellent and efficient communication amp; presentation skills
  • Worked in the North American market especially in the United States
  • A goaloriented selfstarter attitude
  • A proactive and creative mindset
  • A kind, collaborative and resilient personality
  • The ability to adapt to change in a fastpaced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with CRM
  • A positive outlook and a great sense of humor

Bonus points if you:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry
  • Love to travel
  • Have a strong interest in the technology sector

This role is a fulltime position based in our Richmond, BC office. Working from home is available during the Covid pandemic and we are considering hybrid solutions postpandemic.
