We are currently looking for experienced 2 Operations Supervisors to join our growing team! As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day inventory and fulfillment floor operations while leading a team and ensuring targets are met. We are looking for someone who is hands-on and willing to jump in and help the team when needed. Schedules available:
Operations Supervisor: Day shift continental schedule: Week 1 - Sunday to Wednesday 7am-7pm , Week 2 Sunday to Tuesday 7am-7pm (giving you 3 days off on Week 1 then 4 days off on Week 2)
Inventory Operations Supervisor: Day shift Monday to Friday with occasional weekend (must be flexible)
Here are the responsibilities for this role:
Employee Management:
Manage, delegate and coordinate the work within his respective team by using active supervision walks;
Help train new employees and aim to empower them in their work;
Act as go-to ‘buddy’ for ADP portal navigation questions;
Maintain good working relationships and motivate employees;
Settle first level conflicts by being fair and equitable;
Prepare staff schedules and approve their hours;
Flag hiring needs and contribute to building the workforce plan;
Detect and assist employees with performance issues. Reports recurring performance issues to their Manager;
Play an active role in the hiring of resources;
Detect, assist and address employees with performance issues including terminations;
Drive employee engagement and satisfaction and minimize/mitigate employee relations;
Identify and document absences, delays or behavioral problems and apply intervention required
(performance meeting/warnings and terminations);
Communicate with ‘ghosting’ employees upon notification from payroll amp; advise HR;
See to the improvement of the standards of the department (work techniques, employee engagement and
morale, etc.);
Plan integration amp; training sessions for new employees.
Productivity/Quality:
Ensure production goals are followed and achieved;
Ensure that the products comply with the specifications and meet the Goodfood quality standard (good
quantity, method of portioning, adequate packaging, positioning in the bag, respect of temperatures etc.);
Eliminate waste of time, ingredients, supplies and equipment
Analyze and correct quality issues each day ;
Support the Operations Manager by completing visual performance tracker;
Recommend process improvements to increase productivity or quality
Provide a shift status report to peers and managers
Intervenes and recommends appropriate solutions when new and complex issues arise;
Exceed target KPIs across quality and food safety
Exceed labor efficiency targets
Health / Safety and Hygiene / Sanitation:
Ensure the application and compliance with the standards of health and safety at work and rules of hygiene
and sanitation with his/her team (washing hands, wearing nets and work coats, wearing safety boots, etc.);
Promote the maintenance of workplaces and clean and safe equipment;
Ensure the cleaning of each workstation and equipment is completed at the end of each shift;
Ensure continuous improvement of work practices.
Required skills and qualifications:
College or university degree in a related field;
At least 3-4 years years supervising/managing a team of 15+;
Advanced computer skills (Excel, GSuite, Slack,etc);
Experience using an ERP system, implementation of such system is considered an asse
