We're looking for a seasoned Full-Stack Developer with experience in building web-based applications and tools to join the fast moving team at Goodfood. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, the Senior Full-Stack Developer will play a senior role within the newly formed SWAT development team. Within this new team, you will work with a team of front-end and full-stack developers with the mission of being cross-functional specialists to build innovative eCommerce features, tackle difficult and sometimes critical problems within the GoodFood e-commerce platform.
We work on a range of interesting and challenging problems and as a Senior Full Stack Developer you should feel comfortable tackling any back-end or front-end development task. Responsibilities- Actively participate in the product development (website / web application) in order to build the best service on the market
- Analyze, design, code and maintain existing and new functionalities
- Build performant APIs to power mobile, web and voice experiences for our customers amp; vendors
- Propose innovative changes that improve product performance for the customer
- Document code development and revisions
- Participate actively in scrum meetings and internal reviews
- Continuously maintain, debug and improve existing web applications and websites
- Perform unit testing to validate the quality of the features
- Collaborate with the QA team to create test scenarios
- Working in a Linux environment, you will research, design, test, implement, and maintain online and back-end data services applications in GCP/AWS cloud, leveraging modern service frameworks including PHP applications
- A University degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of working experience as a Programmer, Software Developer or Software Engineer
- Strong PHP expertise is a plus and MySQL proficiency
- Working experience in at least one PHP framework, preferably Laravel or Symfony
- Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Strong working experience with front-end development using both templating engines such as Blade (preferred), Twig, Smarty, etc and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.
- Knowledge of HTML / CSS / SASS or Less/ Javascript / Jquery / AJAX, experience with TailwindCSS an asset
- Knowledge of test driven development and modern deployment practices
- Gitflow workflow and CI/CD pipelines experience
- Experience with RESTful APIs or GraphQL
- Bilingualism (French - English)
