Position Overview
Reporting to the Engineering VP, Simplicity Global Solutions is looking for an ambitious Intermediate-Senior Developer to build solutions for our fast-paced company. Our experienced leadership team is driving toward an expansive vision in the legal and financial technology sector and is seeking candidates who are self-starters with a passion for developing elegant, stable, efficient and testable code.
Requirements
Communication and Interpersonal Skills

- Ability and to work well independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Desire and ability to mentor and receive mentorship
Technical Skills
- 7-12 years of development experience building commercial web applications
- Participate in the full software development life-cycle (requirements, design, code, unit test, implementation and maintenance)
- Demonstrable expertise in the following technologies/methodologies:
- Languages PHP
- Frameworks Symfony, jQuery, Bootstrap
- Web Technology HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Databases MySQL/MariaDB
- Git (Understanding of rebase vs merge etc)
- Proponent of quality development methodology, patterns and best practices
- Unit and Functional testing
- SOLID, DDD, Hexagonal Architectures
- Understanding of N-Path complexity, CRAP Scores and similar concepts.
- Contribute to building scalable, sustainable development processes
- Experience with companies of all sizes
- Familiar with the dynamics of a smaller, emerging company
Bonus Skills / Qualifications
- DevOps - Ansible or other system automation tools
- Experience with C++, Typescript/NodeJS, C#, Angular
- Experience with ASP.NET/.NET Core, Web Forms and MVC, SQL Server, SQL Stored Procedures
- Machine Learning, OCR, Computer vision or Artificial Intelligence
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Familiarity with multiple development methodologies and their advantages/disadvantages
