STRUCTURAL REVIT Drafter - Consultant

As a STRUCTURAL REVIT Drafter Consultant, you will be providing support to the Structural team by generating Structural drawings packages using the Revit software.

• Availability to offer 10-20 hours / week of consulting services

SERVICES

Consultant will provide up to and including the following services:

• Prepare Structural drawing packages using REVIT for single family homes;
• Provide support for Engineering Team specially in 2D drafting work and sheet sets;
• Review and verify design concepts and sketches to conform to code and by-law specifications;
• Drafting for new foundation details when required;
• Perform other drawings revisions as required;

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis, from an accredited college or university;
• 2 to 5 years of structural engineering experience;
• Experience designing residential structures using the North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members CSA S136 / AISI S100;
• Strong skills using hand calculations and computer-assisted design software required to perform engineering tasks required (i.e. Excel, MathCad, etc.);
• Solid proficiency with Autodesk ROBOT and REVIT;
• Foundation and Seismic design experience considered an asset;
• Professional engineering licence with the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ) and/or other provinces/states considered an asset;
