OllieOrder is making a difference for the craft producers of beverages. We’re arming the rebels enabling your favourite craft brewery, family-owned winery and boutique distillery to market, sell and track their products. Ollie Order provides omnichannel selling tools for craft alcohol manufacturers and consumers. Imagine crossing Square, Shopify, Amazon and Alibaba.

Our team of senior developers and business wizards have built an ordering system for the hospitality industry. Our leadership team is experienced in building scalable, profitable companies with multiple exits on B2B e-commerce platforms.

We are looking for a talented hands-on UI/UX Designer with a natural understanding and intuition of user behaviour and a love of software design. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience.


Requirements


  • A minimum of 5 years UI/UX Design experience
  • Advanced knowledge of design principles/techniques including responsive design, grid principles. Mobile UI, ideation/creation of UI design deliverables like sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes.
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator, Balsamiq, Omnigiraffle, Carbon, Fluent, Google Material Design
  • Experience with Figma, InVision, AdobeXD or similar
  • Strong visual design skills, including composition, grids, typography, color theory, layout, iconography, and navigation
  • Familiarity in design systems, such as atomic design, componentized design, mobile and responsive design.
  • Familiar with HTML, Javascript, modern CSS(Flexbox Tailwind, Grid), ViewComponents, Hotwire, Stimulus
  • Experience with eCommerce amp; logistics SaaS applications

\Key responsibilities:

  • Reports to the VP Product Management
  • Collaborates with leadership to communicate overall software design and approach to Ollie’s team of programmers.
  • Utilizes user design principles, tools and methods, to collaborate with the Engineering and Product teams to ensure the Ollie platform meets industry benchmarks and best practices in user experience.
  • Exhibits solid understanding of UX design fundamentals, including forms best practices, data visualization techniques, and other user experience considerations.
  • Develops and delivers effective user interfaces by defining UI/UX standards and libraries.
  • Completes user research, interviews, surveys and usability studies, translating findings into wireframes and prototypes and recommended design specifications.
  • Understands user needs and effectively describes users and their activities through personas, roles and workflows.
  • Stays current on requirements and proposed design changes to determine how the software may be impacted in order to provide recommendations for optimal designs and programming approaches
  • Conducts, observes and analyses usability testing sessions (moderated or unmoderated) and translates outcomes back to Product and Development teams.
  • Creates user manuals and guides for the customer support team.
  • Collaborates with and provides guidance to customer IT teams as required.
  • Recommends improvements to optimize performance.
