Reporting to Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics you will be part of a team in which people develop as leaders of engineering, science, and data. You will partner with technology and product leaders to build a core set of pricing data vending systems and price publishing systems which will be used to build price recommendations and submission of their recommended prices. To help meet this objective, we are looking for a passionate, talented Software Engineer/Data Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Plan and architect roadmap with product managers and other teams
- Influence technical direction, choosing the best tools and approaches for the job at hand
- Providing strong leadership and mentoring to your team members
- Deep-dive into distributed systems to design and optimize for performance, maintainability, scalability, and extensibility
- Identify innovation opportunities and deliver new technologies
- Propose appropriate algorithmic solutions
- Successfully drive the creation of positive customer and business impact
- Scope, build, and own technical data warehouse processes to help the business scale
Requirements
- A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline
- 6+ years of professional experience in a software engineering role, building large-scale software systems
- Strong expertise in NodeJS (must have)
- Knowledge of Python, Scala, Java, including object-oriented design
- Knowledge of HTML / CSS / Javascript / Jquery /TypeScript/AJAX, is an asset
- Gitflow workflow and CI/CD pipeline experience
- Experience with cloud environments such as GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Knowledge of Machine Learning frameworks (Pytorch/TensorFlow) and algorithms such as pricing analytics, predictive modeling is an asset
- Nano degree in Data Science is an asset
- Exposure to PHP Framework
- Excellent understanding of software development life cycle and/or agile development environment
